Join us for a varied and exciting 4-day intensive this Easter for Professional Dancers!

This course is suitable for intermediate and advanced students with experience in contemporary dance, with an understanding of terminology and solid technique. The residency will include a full warm-up and class each day, followed by repertoire, improvisation and/or creative.

  • Mon 15 Apr - Flying Low and Passing Through with Ben McEwen
    Breaking movement down, building dance up. Asking dancers and myself questions, making jokes (funniness not guaranteed), playing music (taste not accounted for), venturing into the flow of dancing together. 
  • Tue 16 Apr - Anna Watkins (Watkins Dance Company)
    Anna's class is based on a physical and technical training, including influences from classical, Cunningham and Graham techniques. Stamina and strengthening approach to class, whilst building a grounded and technical foundation. 
  • Wed 17 Apr - Duwane Taylor
    Duwane Taylor’s classes are high energy and filled with passion, fire and expression. Focusing around the style of Krump, Duwane blends this powerful and raw technique, with contemporary and physical theatre approaches to creativity and conceptuality.
  • Thu 18 Apr - Candoco Dance Company
    Led by Candoco Artists Annie Hanauer and Susanna Recchia , the workshop will be a unique opportunity for dancers to come together, take risks, test news ideas and share practice. The workshop is open to disabled and non-disabled dancers (age 18+) at various stages in their professional career and who want to enjoy a creative experience with Candoco Dance Company.
