Courtney McCarthy - Sketch

You will witness a visual explanation as to how movement, animation, projection and sound can live harmoniously together in a shared space. Situated in a monochrome world, Georgia and Tilly encounter a curious yet playful interaction with one another and their animated replicates who act as a reflection, a shadow and a memory… Guided by paper planes and hatching clouds, the pair are reminded to manifest the dancing in the rain moments.

Duration: 14mins

Chandenie Gobardhan - CREATOR

Driven by Trimurti (a cycle of creation, preservation and destruction), this work explores the careful consideration, detail and intricacy that is required in a phase of creating. - CREATOR is one of a triptych of works driven by Trimurti - a layered concept of cosmogony. The concept’s use of symbolism leaves space for many interpretations. This includes one of viewing Trimurti as a representation of the cycle of life. The essence, however, are the phases of the cycle: creating, preservation and destruction. All things in our universe are in eternal motion and going through the phases of the Trimurti cycle. Considering the constant dance of countless vibrations within every atom that exists, the shifts through the Trimurti cycle can be happening on an extremely subtle level. The most intricate movements can impact the relationships of the space in and around us. Taking the agency in carefully considering our thoughts, words and actions will allow us to create a world we want to live in. Ultimately, we are all the creators.

Matthew Harding - Every1 Knows Nothing

It’s interesting to sometimes decipher the extra noise and receive information. This piece contains Hip Hop and contemporary vocabulary which explores the personal journeys of receiving information and the trance like state that viewing this can induce as a result. The Idea of cool zombies and following trends by what we see is happening. Do we step out of this or do we just follow the leader.
