Promises of Happiness

£15 (£12 concessions)

Sorry, you missed this event, SIGN UP to get information on our forthcoming shows

Are you happy? Would more money help? A hug from a stranger? A new mobile phone or cheaper car insurance?

This is a dance show for joy, for simple pleasures, for saying 'no' to people who want to tell us what should or should not make us happy; and to endless promises of happiness alluding to a world just out of reach.

Here, exploring happiness is more important than ever actually finding it.

Let’s go there together.

Robert Clark makes humorous and emotionally charged, intricate and detailed dance shows.

Fri 15 May: Post-show discussion

The Happiness Treatments

The Happiness Treatments are a set of one-to-one, interactive performances looking at happiness and its complex role in contemporary society. Each treatment has been developed around recognisable features that exist as potential routes towards happiness in our culture, perhaps a spa treatment or a social dance.

Come, be greeted as if you were in a spa, fill in your happiness questionnaire and await your own personal offer of happiness.

You can choose from the following treatments:
