Serious Play: Creative workshop with Annie Hanauer

Easter Dance Courses 2017

£50

Sorry, you missed this event, SIGN UP to get information on our forthcoming shows

In this open level workshop, Annie will use structured improvisation to pull people and their stories together. The day will include a warm-up class and various creative tasks working with movement and voice. Working together to create duets and group compositions, we will focus on composing movement in the moment and unlocking the full articulation of our bodies in space.

Annie’s work is playful and explores what inclusivity means. Expect to communicate, tell stories, explore memory, use touch, create, compose and sweat.

This course is for students who have had some previous experience in contemporary dance and would like to learn more about physical articulation, improvisation, partnering, using the voice, and being present on stage.

Participants are invited to share what they have been working on as part of an informal studio sharing (3.00 – 3.30pm)

Annie’s research can be seen as part of a shared scratch evening with the work of Vicky Malin and Sarah Blanc on 13th May at 8pm.
