You are cordially invited to a wedding celebration with a difference… the bride, groom, best man and bridesmaids are all world-class dancers and audience members are the guests.
With a sharp-eyed approach and humorous touches the cast of seven exceptional dancers use sublime contemporary dance to explore familiar scenes of matrimony, the role of ritual, doubt, religion and gender to examine the romanticised perceptions of marriage.
The work is supremely physical and theatrical with an eclectic soundtrack including Stravinsky’s Les Noces, Russian folk wedding music and a specially commissioned score by Ben Foskett, beautiful costumes and set by Joana Dias, evocative lighting from Ben Ormerod and moments of participation to ensure you’re at the heart of the celebration.
Angela Venturini and Sam Costello are London Contemporary Dance School postgraduates who join the cast of this work.
